If I received a message like this, I would buy a plane ticket to a safe country and would apply for asylum immediately, and I would use the letter as a basis for the asylum application. It seems like a really strong basis for the application.
If I were to actually fight against the forces that be, they would also go after my family.

The US was never a democracy to begin with. It was a government designed to benefit one very particular small but powerful minority.

although i get your point, the usa, for all its many problems and atrocities, isn’t specifically arresting people based on religion or ethnicity and hauling them into forced labor camps.
