Reminds me of this xkcd post:
Sync for Lemmy has mod actions (pin, lock, ban, etc), but doesn’t seem to support getting report notifications yet.
If you’re in the mood for tinkering, you might want to try this: https://www.instructables.com/Power-an-Android-Phone-Without-Battery/
Wait a minute, that legendary hotdog car is destroyed? What happened?
Punishing family for a family member’s crime is a trait of shitty authoritarian country such as North Korea. Not sure how Israel is currently governed, but something must’ve gone really wrong in their governance if they have unjust policy like this.
If someone send this to Stallman, he’ll write a stern email on emacs to the book’s author reminding them that gnu is not linux.
You laugh but the fact that you got a login confirmation notification means he got your password now. He’ll just need to guess your email password next and you’ll be truly owned. Set up 2fa on your email account if you haven’t set it up already.
The idea of turning random windows users into arch users is absurd, but one can dream I guess.
Sync for Lemmy has this feature. It’s closed source and have ads though unless you purchase the ad removal option.
Russian balconies and windows seem very dangerous. So many people slipped and fell to their death. When you visit Russia, you’ll need to be especially careful near a window in a high rise building, make sure the floor is not slippery and there are no strange men behind your back.
Why, I spent it maintaining my Lemmy instance of course.
This is actually pretty nice for touchpad. It’s atrocious for scrollwheel though.
Another Lemmy app actually have this feature, but not sure if it’s appropriate to mention other apps here.
You might never heard of it but this game has been hyped for years. We got no Skyrim successor for 12 years because Bethesda was busy with starfield, so naturally people want to see if the wait is worth it.
There is a “road” near my house in OSM that does not exist and OSM is always trying to route me though it, which is very annoying. Is there any way to mark them for removal? StreetComplete doesn’t seem to have that capability.
Which is why I’m sad that cdpr decided to ditch their red engine. So much work turning a buggy mess engine from Witcher 2 into a beautiful (still buggy) engine in cyberpunk. If only they would at least open source it, or sell it to another studio.
Just get a secondhand thin client like hp t620 for like $30, which is perfectly capable of running 64bit Linux/Windows with 7 watt of power.
New Vegas is a blast. I went in blind after playing Fallout 4 and was blown away by how good the story was compared to Fallout 4.
You might not familiar with how the internet archive does the book lending. The book is actually drm-protected and can only be opened with adobe software, which will expire in just a few days, rendering the file useless. What the internet archive did was simply allowing more people to borrow the same book during pandemic instead of only allowing one person at a time. The lent books still expire after a few days. It’s not like the internet archive was suddenly turn into LibGen and distributing unlocked pdf to anyone. Anyone who familiar with LibGen would not bother borrowing from the internet archive digital library. The issue is simply blown up out of proportion by publishers.
Wow you’re right! I didn’t know they have an online editor. I thought the app is the only way to submit changes. I’m able to delete the section of the road that don’t actually exist in my area, let’s see if the changes will be accepted. Thanks!
