I know right, imagine putting in so much effort just to strip some people of their most basic and fundamental human rights and thinking you’re the victim.

private companies can’t be trusted
and water is wet.
I find ZFS rollbacks to be easier but setting up ZFS can be a pain (other than in Gentoo and NixOS from my experience), so take your pick
It is the lesser of two evils imo. Not saying that AMD is any good, their alternatives are just that bad.
AMD still has better Linux support for now, which is about 90% of the reason I went with them for now.
Why not Brave at least?
As someone who’ve tried Gentoo on systemd and OpenRC, as well as Void with runit, I don’t see any reason to use OpenRC over systemd. I never noticed any performance difference, and it has far less features. As for runit, if half the boot time for half the features is what you need, then go for it.
True, that’s part of the reason I switched to Gentoo
Does ZFSBootMenu work with LUKS? If so, can anyone explain how I can get it to work with LUKS and systemd-boot please? I’m on Gentoo, if that matters.
That depends for me. Is it open source? If so, check the source code, you can see for yourself whether that third party is doing anything shady? Anything closed source like WhatsApp, however, and I 100% agree with you.
Maybe it would be a good idea to collaborate with neighbours or friends or such, economies of scale and whatnot.
Ah, a fellow Gentoo user, I see.
may you always be well
I use ZFS, not BTRFS, but both have snapshots, and if you’re someone who likes to tinker with their system like me, it lets you do so without worrying that it will break.
In a sense, I kind of half-agree with you. I think spamming anti-Google propaganda should be done, but in a more mainstream platform instead of something like Lemmy where almost everyone already agrees and likely have taken appropriate measures.
Chrome and Google hatred is 100% deserved and OOP should carry on with their crusade.
Priorities.
You can get yourself sandboxed Google Play Services and everything should work fine. Personally, I have a separate profile for apps that need it.
I don’t doubt that at least the EU certainly would, but will they be fast enough to prevent irreversible damage?
The government, not the people, but yeah I agree
