Yeah, tragic events become officially funny after 22.3 years. Everyone knows that’s the rule. They just got to wait till December 29, 2023 now.

Unclear what to do with pitchfork:
Video and other surveillance data gathered by Cruise and reviewed by The Standard showed three Cruise vehicles were present at the scene. Two left the scene but one remained stopped as an ambulance arrived behind it. Cars continued to pass in the lane to the right of the stopped Cruise car.
“Throughout the entire duration the AV is stopped, traffic remains unblocked and flowing to the right of the AV,” a Cruise spokesperson said in a statement. “The ambulance behind the AV had a clear path to pass the AV as other vehicles, including another ambulance, proceeded to do.”
The video captured by Cruise showed that the ambulance parked behind the Cruise and did not attempt to pass the robotaxi in the rightmost unblocked lane. Instead, responders moved a firetruck to allow the ambulance to pass on the left. The video, which Cruise declined to share publicly, indicates that 90 seconds elapsed between the patient being put on the stretcher and the ambulance leaving the scene.

Google already does this - and has been for years - use Google Search or Gmail on a non-Google browser and it will “suggest” you use Chrome
Those days are long gone. Else we’d see Apple and Google getting in trouble for bundling their own apps for everything on their devices.

I would assume it’s a hard thing to implement reliably in a system such a lemmy. You could just spin up your own instance and give yourself a ton of points if you really cared for the numbers.
Well, the good thing about Lemmy is your downvotes don’t add up to some Karma like it did on Reddit. You’re free to state your opinion in one post without having to carry it around everywhere.
With so much money spent on the police, you’d expect at least a HD photo for the mugshots
Like if you own a horse it’s really hard to keep them alive if they injure pretty much any part.
And yet, for many hundreds of years humans used horses in wars and still managed to keep them alive…
We all know what taxes are. We all know you’re an armchair thinker who believes that every problem has one simple solution, which apparently only you could think of for some reason. Anyway continue to enjoy the bliss ignorance is.
Yeah such an easy solution. So who gets to keep the tax money? Who pays the tax - the ones shipping the goods, or the ones buying the goods?
