The nearly 100-page indictment details dozens of acts by Trump or his allies to undo his defeat, including beseeching Georgia’s Republican secretary of state to find enough votes for him to win the battleground state; harassing an election worker who faced false claims of fraud; and attempting to persuade Georgia lawmakers to ignore the will of voters and appoint a new slate of electoral college electors favorable to Trump.

In one particularly brazen episode, it also outlines a plot involving one of his lawyers to access voting machines in a rural Georgia county and steal data from a voting machine company.

Yeah I currently have the sink between me and my counter, so I’m chopping veggies on the opposite side of the kitchen from where I’m sauteing them. This would be great for my use case.

Even for portability they have the 8bitdo Lite which is smaller than most modern phones. Wider surface area, fits in a small pocket. Works well with a tablet or laptop gaming setup.

This is good if you want even more portability, for a cheap $25 bluetooth controller with pretty great platform support. Some of my friends go to a lot of conventions and I can see them having a couple of these in a small pocket just to have something easy for multiplayer games.

For me, I’d likely use it like they show in one of their promotional images - keyboard shortcuts in art programs, etc.

The US government were also months late to handling COVID, and the conservative leadership in power was actively demonizing safety protocols such as masks, vaccines, social distancing, etc not to mention their own Center for Disease Control, to the point that a fair percentage of the population is distrustful of medical science and unwilling to consider those safety protocols.

A lot of the news media (left and right) focused on things like getting people back to work in spite of the ongoing pandemic so it really forced the narrative away from collective safety and survival into economic prioritization and the illusion of normalcy.

Yeah I’m shocked to see price ranking so low on their poll. I’m rocking a $200 phone and there’s nothing that I need to do but can’t. The form factor is nice but it’s not an extra $800+ nice.

There’s also a shockingly high failure rate for modes of state execution, and a lot of gross details surrounding it as a method of punishment. Jacob Geller did a great and disturbing video about it:

Education is the act of imparting knowledge, usually with the goal of improving general understanding and critical thinking skills, while indoctrination carries inherent connotations of partisanship - usually about believing a specific doctrine or ideology, even if facts or evidence suggests it to be untrue.

It’s been invite-only for a long while, so they can manage the userbase easier. I imagine that, plus the lack of support for visual content makes it challenging for engagement.

I’m more concerned about the more toxic people having access to the names and profiles of people who downvote them. Reddit had a lot of crazies, and it seems like a good tool for targeted harassment. Not to mention, what’s stopping them from having alt accounts on different instances and continuing even after they’ve been blocked or even banned on one account?
