  • Aight. You do you.

I for for a fact I can work anyone breathing to the point they are maxing their heart rate and can’t stand for a half hour after we are done.

If you are not hitting that at home it’s on you.

I did 10 miles today on a stationary bike at a 3 minute mile pace. Then I set target heart rate of 145 and never dropped below it for 1 and a half hours as I did my circuit and strength plan.

Get creative with it. You can use nothing but a foam roll and get a completely wrecking aerobic workout.

  • I have chronic pain. I was instructed by the pain clinic I went to, under no uncertain terms, to exercise 5 times a week. No taking a day because I feel sore or tired or because the overwhelming blinding pain is screaming at me not to. I just have to do it.

    That was a year ago.

    I am still going.

I went from sedentary for a decade to a healthy BMI and muscle mass because of 1 rule.

Don’t let how I feel guide how I act.

Fuck me it was hard. It is hard. It was hard today. It was hard every single day.

I have currently a torn labrum, a torn rotator cuff, 3 torn things in my knee, 4 bulging disks in my back, a herniated disk, arthritis in 5 joints, and a titanium cage holding part of my spine together.

If you can commit to tracking every single thing you eat in the app MyNetDiary ( it scans barcodes and is free), and exercising 5 times a week; I guarantee two things will happen.

1.) I will do the same and have an accountability buddy to keep me going.

2.) You WILL be successful in the weight loss and gaining a healthy life.

Your call if you want to transform your life.

I have PT exercises and low impact options for days. I have whole fitness plans and diet plans from distinctions, and hundreds of hours with PTs. I have so much to share with someone whose life I can help gain so so much…

You just have to commit to joining me.

A year from now you could be vastly different than you are now. So could I. IF we keep our promises to ourselves and one another.

  • Bush Jr ran on privatizing SS and got absolutely washed in 2006.

Obama ran on scaling back entitlements and got washed in 2010.

You are proving my point here, when it’s your explicit purpose, it is a failure. When you package it as a political morality sandwich in other things, it wins.

Kentucky had to sell the expansion as their own idea, packaged up for GOP consumption. They can sell losses in service to those same people, and do, by convincing them the government is too big. Too big and you should get less services because it’s evil. Evil big government that can’t possibly and won’t possibly do any good.

It’s never direct kill, with the exception of “Obamacare”, because that was about their biggest donors, but still packaged as an illegal tax as rationale with a promise of a “better replacement”. It’s always instead of a direct removal of benefit, an affront to some idea logical sensibility and that justifies reduction in funding a service.

Of course the GOP won’t just say, my platform is killing SS. They will make it about someone else they can hate on as reason to harm them, while still harming the useless idiots that vote for it. So long as the base voters can harm someone else they dislike more than it hurts themselves, it will be allowed to die slowly as an unfunded mandate of reducing benefit while still getting the reps doing it re-elected.

  • The ole “it’s the third rail of American politics”. Ah yes Sokrin, let’s be that optimistic.

There is a party whose population will gladly accept no Medicaid expansion in their state and lose out on public option benefits, because “black man bad”.

They will parade the IRA bill results from the current administration that their own reps voted against in red states, seemingly devoid of reality.

How then is the loss of SS benefits not also hand waved away to 40% of the country, who will gladly just shoot their own foot to spite their enemies told to them by the big R?

You have a far far more faith in rationality and of the ability for democrats to control the narrative than I do. They will at best force the action to be a democrat action by waiting and doing nothing until it is dying of funds, holding it hostage as a political football for negotiating something they want. Forcing then the narrative to be that democrats have spent so much irresponsibly and broken our budget etc etc. the worst case is they get overtaken as a party by the cultural republican alt right crazies with favors owed, as we saw was eating at the current speaker’s heels just to hold on to power through the latest funding fiascos for paying our debt. This will mean actual cut integrations into SS as part of some larger bill, likely something like they did before that cannot be filibustered, like the yearly budget they rammed in for trillions in tax cuts to corporate interest.

This is not a harm the people or not harm the people play. That would be too transparent and you are right too obviously problematic for the continued hold to power. It will be more insidious and the American people have proven over and over that so long as harming them is packaged with a temporary tax cut or sandwiched between a outrage social topic of someone else to hate; they will keep on voting the assholes back in.
