Quite crazy to think the tech underpinning games like Gmod (which was popular well into the 2010s) was developed 2003 and likely earlier.
Edit: I checked now and still quite a lot of people playing Gmod

Don’t underestimate the 1% effects, they add up. I agree it is unlikely they will get rolled out at mass, but everything helps.
