    Went for a run today. As I was heading down my street towards the orthogonal street that basically makes up most of my run I saw someone running along it. Once I got to the end he was maybe 50 metres ahead. Very unusually, we were running at almost identical paces. Took me about 2 km to catch up to him very, very gradually. Then for the next kilometre I’d move over to start overtaking him, and he’d see me out of the corner of his eye as I pass, and he’d speed way up to get a few metres in front, then slow down 🤦‍♂️

    After about 3 or 4 times of that, after 1 km he finally let me pass him, possibly because he was near his finishing point or at least turning off in a different direction, because very soon after that I looked back and he was nowhere to be seen. And I went on with the rest of my run.

        Plex server with lots of public domain movies. I had ~25TB on an old box that kept filling up as copyrights expired and I was adding more content, so I bought a new setup which has ~120TB of easily upgradable storage so I should be right for the foreseeable future.

        Opted to redownload the content instead of importing due to the naming schemes and quality profiles being all over the shop so the little asterisk next to the word “unlimited” on my NBN plan is getting tested.

          Oh neat! Assuming “lots of public domain movies” isn’t a euphemism à la the other reply’s “Linux ISOs”, where are you grabbing those from? Hope the bandwidth gods are smiling upon you this week!

    Had yesterday off due to feeling like I have some kind of cold thing. No actual symptoms though so that’s odd.

    I’m going to a major site soon apparently. This means doing an online induction of about two hours today. I’ll do this in work time as I’ve seen others do that. Then the first three days of next week involve two different courses at a training facility. Working at Heights and confined spaces. Neither of which I fancy being a part of as I thought I’d left that stuff behind. I’m a TA and some sort of storeman these days at the large workshop. Were quite slack and I volunteered to go out on site to help out there. Oh well, the cushy time is over for now. Well I hope it’s just for now. More money I suppose.

    Also I’m on a boat trip to Straddie tomorrow. Tipplers which I’ve never been to before. So a few days of not actually working. Can’t complain.

    It’s been raining by the way…
