I was once gifted a middle aged pooch who within a few weeks stole food from the table when it had been left for a housemate. All dogs are not the same but this seems like a handler issue. I scolded, refused attention for a half hour and left food, walked around the door. Peep around to see the pooch looking, drop her head, walk away dejected.
Lavish praise, cuddles, give a treat. Never did it again, in years.
It won’t always be this straight forward, but this seems like a handler problem, not a Corgi problem.
