I’m glad that I have the luxury of somewhat healthy lungs, and that I can rejoice in this happy smoky air that is reducing the sun’s intensity and retarding the fire spread a bit. It’s a small price to pay for me.
I hope that people with breathing issues and a home to stay in with decent filtration can stay in during this smoky time. I’m relieved at least we’ve had practice staying home, and I’m curious to see whether legislation recognizes those with breathing issues and affords them some extra days-off at home now that we have a government allotment we can tune.
I bought a big air filter around 2021( about the size of a small fridge) and it’s working quite well. Only turn it on when the air quality index hits yellow range or above.
