I’m not defending them? I’m just saying we don’t need to create a community to make fun of others. I just think if that’s all that instance is, block it or ask the instance defederate it.

No one said that. But you should be aware of your representatives if they can’t handle themselves properly. It’s important information.
I’m confused. I honestly can’t tell what side you’re on. Your tone appears to be in support of the conspiracy, but your comments actual content appears to be otherwise. I can’t tell if this is miscommunication or what.
The way he acted after he “angrily puts hand” on her is a lot more noteworthy to me. Like, without context it’s hard to be sure. The hand thing first seems like a “I understand what you’re saying” or a “I understand how you could think that way” and doesn’t actually seem angry to me and on it’s own is a bit of a nothing story. But the follow up? That’s is definitely not appropriate behavior and intimidatingly forcing her back like that seems uncalled for. It also seems very fast? So I don’t know if something happened to him before this? Not to say it excuses it, but there’s a difference between someone who is displaying default behavior or someone who has just had a really awful day and doesn’t normally act like this.
From her perspective, her brain is basically responding in the same way as if she caught you having sex in person. I know you didn’t cheat on her. She knows it too. But there’s still a subconscious part that is going to respond that way because brains don’t naturally understand video and real life. Depending on how new the relationship is, there may not be enough of a bridge to repair yet. Sometimes relationships fail through no fault of either party. Mistakes happen. It especially depends on how you acted on the relationship video and prank videos. Even if it was “for the camera”, if you appear differently in those videos than now, she may not fully trust which version is you. It depends on how strong that foundation was beforehand and simply the ages of everyone involved. Young relationships are messy because no one has much life experience about what’s happening, and a lot of times it’s from TV, movies, and music.
My bad. Didn’t realize there was a more button. So it cut off at the watching ex’s yt video. Definitely explains what everyone else is talking about.
Depends how many videos and how often the guy was in them. Plus how long their relationship was. It’s not crazy to be curious to see what things your SO likes in another person.
Would something like that be on YouTube?
Edit: nevermind. Saw the comment about the other video. That’s messed up. Shows there’s still a connection to her. Plus hiding the relationship by avoiding and dodging questions was a mistake.
I mean, if you want to get technical, none of them have any blocking really. Blocking on any fediverse is generally just the equivalent of muting/hiding.
Wasn’t aware of the bug though (as I haven’t tried the feature yet, but probably wouldn’t have a way to notice anyway).
That work around isn’t great as you will never find new communities.
Not to pick sides, but I’ve literally never heard that before. I’ve always seen Main used the same as a General channel. That being said, if it’s truly important, just create an account on Kbin for awhile until Lemmy has the same blocking capabilities.
Kbin.social is a big one that is run by the developer if I recall correctly.
Defederating is core to the fediverse. Lemmy just uses a shared protocol to exchange content. And as others have said, Kbin has instancr blocking, community/magazine blocking, and user blocking. You could just create an account on a Kbin instance if it’s important enough. You still get to see the same things.
I mean, we don’t need to spread toxicity on the fediverse by making fun of folks. I thought we left that behind. If hexbear users become a problem, they can be blocked. Otherwise let folks be whatever they want. We don’t need to recreate the same shitty subs from reddit that just exist to make fun of people.
Lecture you? In a vegan community? Are you dense? What do you expect to hear here? And I told you why your supposed claim was full of shit. And you came up with a bunch of other well-worn bullshit as to why it was ok for it to be shit.
Act like an ass about veganism in a vegan community and then your shocked when someone gets insulted. Your either a troll or lack any social skills whatsoever because your inability to see why that’s a shitty move is telling.
There’s no need to continue this. You’re either a troll or an idiot. I ignore those folks.
I’m generally not confrontational and honestly usually tell people to try their best, but I get tired of people coming to a vegan community and being assholes.
no is trying to convince you or even themselves
You came to a vegan community and insulted them. Are you fucking dense? You’re being confrontational.
Eh. Capital is basically anything of value that is consumed to generate flow in return. It can be money, land, resources, etc.
Many folks deleted their contributions when they migrated away. So it isn’t intentionally trying to not help anyone else. It was just protesting against reddit more likely.
