Honestly, I see myself as a centrist. Mostly because I do not agree with both sides lol.

I do not believe one should censor others, like both sides want to.

I do not believe people should be killed or ostracised for decisions that influence only themselves, like right wants.

I do not believe we should change meaning behind or normalize words of critical importance, like left often does.

Like, I am fucking tired of it all. And I am not even surrounded by this shit IRL, but it’s almost every-fucking-where online and I am tired. Live and let live, speak whatever on your mind but don’t expect everyone to agree, be open to discussion and change, that’s all I want from people. :< Believe whatever you want to, but accept the fact world escapes your perception and thus, it may need to be altered.

It’s not contest. The left doesn’t represent what I believe in so I don’t support them. I’m not going to be pushed to support I party I don’t believe in out of fear of their opposition.

The value of the Académie Française apparently. Not that they have the slightest notion that that is their point of view…

      words of critical importance

What on Earth is a word of critical importance? What makes it critical, will it set off the nuclear missiles?

The only valid argument I can come up with is if you do research and the biological sex is a factor it could become harder to make reliable statistics. The same goes for when you want to research specifically issues of trans men and women. I wonder how this can be done in an ethical way in the future, without causing trouble.

My criticism of the Left changing words is that it leads to tribalism and purity tests.

Which never in a million years would make me think “hey, maybe the Nazis have a point”

People can be identified based on their biological sex and gender separately. This distinction allows researchers to be more nuanced in their studies and is in no way inhibitive. People can easily disclose this information when asked.

If the discussion is “do trans people deserve civil rights, health care, and to not be murdered?” then sorry, I’m not interested in entertaining the other side in the name of “fairness” and “keeping the peace.”

I do not believe we should change meaning behind or normalize words of critical importance, like left often does.

Either move to France or get over the fact that language changes. Living not in France, using a language that isn’t French means that this is just how it works.
